
The World Market is one of the ost exciting additions to
Las Vegas, with a total value that will exceed $2.9 billion, expecting to generate approximately $22 million in annual property taxes upon build-out.
The
World Market Center sponsors semi-annual trade shows attended by thousands of national and international furniture buyers and representatives.
Since it opened its first doors in 2005, the center has provided more than 1,500 full-time, permanent jobs and when completed, it will provide a total of 45,000 direct and indirect jobs for the
Las Vegas market.
By utilizing the city of Las Vegas Redevelopment Agency’s Tax Increment Financing incentive program the
World
Market
Center has also produced a number of public improvements.
These include storm drainage, site lighting, fencing, sidewalks and retaining walls.
It will also offer 7,400 parking spaces to accommodate its trade shows and events.
It has contributed significantly to increased convention attendance and tourism in
Las Vegas,
Henderson and
North Las Vegas.
